Mitt Romney is pro-death penalty in cases that truly deserve the capital punishement.

He supports the death penalty in acts of terrorism, killing sprees, any homicides involving torture
and the killing of authorities.

When Governing Massachusetts, Romney publicized his plans to file a death penalty bill in early
2005. The bill was filed on April 28 of that year. He sought out to reinstate the death penalty in
cases that included terrorism, assassination of law enforcement officials and multiple killings.
His legislation required evidence such as DNA to be eligable to sentence someone to death row.
The bill was defeater by a vote of 100-53.
